Volunteer Policy

One of the main goals of the San Ramon Little League Board is to encourage participation in Little League Baseball through volunteer support.

To encourage participation at all levels of play, we have provided an updated list of volunteer opportunities. It is our goal to have 100% participation of all parents or guardians.

We have listed the most common areas that each team will need help in managing and organizing their team for the upcoming season. These are presented in approximate order of time commitment.

Board member	League administration
Team Manager / Head Coach	Responsible for all aspects of their team operation
Team Assistant Coach	Assist manager in practices and games
Team Parent	Main communication link between the league coaches and team families
Field Maintenance / Set Up	Responsible for field preparation before games (AA and higher)
Score keeper	Game support and record keeping (AA and higher)
Field Marshal	Umpire and game support (AA and higher)
Special Events Volunteer	Support for league events: Tryouts, Opening Day, Picture Day, Snack Shack, etc. (all levels)

There will be a $125 volunteer fee deposit (per family) charged during registration. A minimum of 8 hours is required to obtain the volunteer fee refund. Team positions will also be tracked during the season and volunteer deposit refunds will be issued starting in June.

Volunteer applications must be completed by all board members, managers, coaches, team parents, field marshals, and others that are in contact with players. In order to be considered for the Team Manager position, Volunteer applications must be completed online and mailed with a copy of your Driver’s license to SRLL PO Box before Manager Interviews. Manager refunds will only be issued if all Assistant coach Volunteers applications are completed with proper ID mailed to the SRLL mailbox.
